Canaan Church Sri Hartamas, an outreach church of Canaan Church Segambut, officially opened its doors to the community 19/09/99, occupying the 3rd floor of No.28. The pioneering effort was initiated by Rev. Yee Tham Wan, the then senior pastor of the main church.
During the early years, a core group came over from the main church to serve in various ministries. To make our presence known in the community, flyers were distributed to homes nearby. Bible studies and prayer meetings were held regularly on Wednesday nights. From there on the congregation grew gradually.
A few months after the opening, Ps. Yee Tham Fuan was transferred from the main church to pastor Sri Hartamas outreach church. During his 2 year term the opportunity to expand arose when the adjacent unit No.26 became available for rental. The 2 units were renovated and the premises could now seat 100 people.
Ps. Daniel Leong took over the pastoral position in 2003 and the congregation grew spiritually and numerically. After being promoted to senior pastor for the main church, Ps. Daniel Leong handed over the outreach church to Rev. Daniel Loh, who is the current pastor to date.
Canaan Church Sri Hartamas is experiencing a new season of growth especially in the children ministry. Cell Group has also grown with more people attending the Sri Hartamas and Damansara Heights area. God has been very faithful to this church throughout the years and continues to pour out His blessings to His children through miraculous healings, restoring relationships, victorious finances and transformed lives.
